January 28, 2026 – Mr. Makara Chhoeurn, Chairperson of the EuroCham Automotive Committee, together with the RMA Cambodia team, held a courtesy meeting with the EU Ambassador to Cambodia, Mr. Igor Driesmans.
The meeting provided an opportunity to update the Ambassador on developments within Cambodia’s automotive industry, including the presence and growth of European car brands, ongoing and planned investments, market trends, fair competition, and regulatory challenges. The discussions also touched on updates in automotive regulations and potential opportunities to support sustainable industry growth.
Ambassador Igor Driesmans expressed his strong support for the continued development of Cambodia’s automotive sector and highlighted the importance of European-Cambodian collaboration in fostering a competitive, transparent, and resilient market. The meeting underscored EuroCham’s commitment to facilitating dialogue between industry stakeholders and government representatives to advance Cambodia’s automotive landscape.
