RMA (CAMBODIA) PLC. developed the RMA Cambodia Mobile App as a commercial application. This service is designed to enhance experience by streamlining sales and aftersales processes for RMA Cambodia and its multiple divisions and brands.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

As a user you have the choice which information you would like to share with us. Please be aware, however, that when signing up to our platform, you are required to accept our terms of use. Legally speaking, this means you will enter into a contract with us under which you are entitled to use the Platform, in accordance with the terms of use. Of course, we need some information from you to be able to perform our obligations under this contract (as per the information of collection and use below). However, it is entirely up to you to choose whether you would like to provide such information or would rather not use our platform.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at RMA Cambodia Mobile App unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to name, phone number, address, location data, and usage data. The information that we collect will be retained by us and used in accordance with this privacy policy.

For users who are already RMA Cambodia customers – such as those who have purchased a vehicle or heavy equipment from RMA Cambodia or have used our after-sale services – we may utilize their existing data alongside any new information provided through the app.

The app does use trusted third-party service provider that may collect information used to identify you and process certain personal data strictly for service-related purposes, in compliance with security and privacy regulations:

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, we collect data and information through third party tools, including Google Analytics. This data is gathered in two ways: information provided by users during account creation, profile setup, and service bookings, as well as data automatically collected from device interactions with Google Analytics. 

These third parties only process personal data as required for their operations and cannot use, sell, or share user data for any other purpose.

Security Measures

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information. To protect it, we implement industry-standard security measures, including:

  • Data Encryption: User data is encrypted during transmission and storage using industry-standard encryption protocols.
  • Access control: only authorized personnel can access sensitive data.
  • Security Monitoring: We periodically access our security practices and rely on secure platforms such as Firebase, Google Cloud, and Odoo, which apply global security standards.
  • Data Backup & Recovery: Daily backups are performed, encrypted, and retained for up to 7 days to ensure service continuity.

However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet, or electronic storage is completely secure or immune to potential risk. While we strive to safeguard your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligation. The retention periods are as follows:

  • Personal Information: Your name, contact details, and address are kept until you request account deletion
  • Service Booking History: Retained indefinitely for service tracking and legal compliance. 
  • Event Registration History: Retained indefinitely for historical records, additional operations and future optimization purposes. 
  • User Vehicle Information: when user register a vehicle to perform service booking, the information is stored indefinitely for operation and legal compliance 
  • Usage Data: App usage data is retained for up to 14 months or accordance to third party’s app policy, after which is automatically deleted or anonymized. 
  • Backups: Daily backups are retained for up to 7 days to ensure system recovery.

Once the data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

User Rights

As a user of our app, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: request access to their personal data.
  • Correction: request that inaccurate date be updated.
  • Deletion: request deletion of their data (subject to legal obligations).
  • Data Portability: request a copy of their data in a machine-readable format.
  • Consent Withdrawal: revoke consent for data processing.
  • Objection: object to data processing for certain purposes (e.g., marketing)

Rights of Erasure

We value your privacy. If you would like to erase your account:

  1. send us an email at Digital.Contact@rmagroup.com  and specifically mention that you would like your account to be deleted. Include the full name and phone number linked to this account.
  2. We will call you to confirm whether it is you that requested that erasure.
  3. If so, your account will be permanently deleted.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 18. In the case we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, we immediately erase this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any significant updates through in-app notifications or email (if applicable).
